Distribution of Upper Paleozoic Coal Seams in the Southeastern Ordos Basin

چکیده
The Ordos Basin contains abundant coal resources in the Upper Paleozoic strata. They are shallowly buried or exposed periphery of basin, forming recoverable mines and coalbed methane resources. For deeply seams however, due to complex changes difficult mining, less attention was paid before. In recent years, with exploitation tight gas related source rocks, a large amount drilling seismic data has been accumulated southeastern Basin, which makes it possible study distribution change factors controlling seams. Source and Distribution of Phosphorus in British Columbia Coal Seams
Phosphorus contents of coal from around the world vary although there is a tendency for Permian coals from India and Australia, and Cretaceous coals from Western Canada to have more phosphorus than Carbcmiferous coals from Europ+ and USA (Table 1). This may be because of the evolution of vegetation type over geological time or because of the conditions in the coal swamps. Data presented here su...
متن کاملThe Evolution and Preliminary Genesis of the Carbon Isotope for Coal Measure Tight Gas: Cases from Upper Paleozoic Gas Pools of Ordos Basin and Xujiahe Formation Gas Pools of Sichuan Basin, China
In classic theory, the natural gas generated by organic matter (OM) would become dry with the increase of source rock maturity [1]. Meanwhile, the carbon isotope of gas would become heavy during the evolution process of source rock [2-4]. However, some new characteristics of geochemistry appear in shale gas found in shale with over maturity, such as the isotopic rollover, partial reversal and f...
متن کاملEstimation of coal seams gas content for evaluating potential use of methane drainage system in Tabas coal mine
Methane gas emission, accumulation, and explosion are the most important risk factors in underground coal mines. Hence, having a knowledge of methane gas emission potential in underground coal mines is of crucial importance in preventing the explosion risk, loss of life, and property, and providing miners' safety. The purpose of this work is to provide the prediction maps for the C1, C2, and B2...
متن کاملChemometric Study of Trace Elements in Hard Coals of the Upper Silesian Coal Basin, Poland
The objective of the study was the analysis of trace elements contents in coals of the Upper Silesian Coal Basin (USCB), which may pose a potential threat to the environment when emitted from coal processing systems. Productive carbon overburden in central and southern zones of the USCB is composed mostly of insulating tertiary formations of a thickness from a few m to 1,100 m, and is represent...
متن کاملIchthyofauna of two streams (silted and reference) in the Upper Paraná river basin, Southeastern Brazil.
In this study the fish assemblages of the silted Aguas Claras stream (AC) was compared with that of a reference, the São Carlos stream (SC), so as to identify potential fish indicators of integrity or degradation. Both streams, located about 5 km from one another, are part of the Upper Paraná river basin, Brazil, and present similar physiographical features. Twenty-one species were collected in...
